Perry Lee
S.W.C. Assistant Chef
Originally from Macon, Georgia, Perry Lee made the move to the Hilton Head in August 2024. With over a decade of experience in the financial world—serving as a loan officer and working in insurance—Perry built a successful career helping others manage their goals.
His true passion, however, has always been in the kitchen. From experimenting with diverse cooking techniques to catering private events for family and friends, Perry has long found joy in sharing good food with southern hospitality.
Now, under the mentorship of Chef Taylor Smith at Spanish Wells Club and embraced by the warm, welcoming community at the club, Perry has truly found his home. He’s excited to continue growing, learning, and creating memorable culinary experiences for those around him.
Perry is an excellent addition to the club and his warm and inviting personality makes everyone feel welcome and at home. You will always be met with a smile and a readiness to serve.
Taylor Smith
S.W.C. Executive Chef
Growing up in Georgia, Taylor developed a deep love for food that was rooted in his parents' passion for fresh, homemade meals. Their household was filled with the rich aromas of Cajun, Southern, and French flavors, which became the foundation of his culinary journey.
This lifelong love for the kitchen led him to commit full-time to the culinary arts at just 19 years old. Since then, Taylor has had the privilege of working alongside incredible chefs who sharpened his skills and allowed him to explore the world through the kitchens he has been fortunate to work in.
In 2014, he made Hilton Head Island his home, where he contributed to the culinary scene at Hilton Head Health and Stu’s, and helped to open and operate the kitchen at Fish Camp.
For Taylor, every day in the kitchen is an opportunity to discover new ingredients, craft inspiring drinks, and share meaningful conversations. There’s no place he would rather be than Spanish Wells Club, where he finds endless inspiration to continue creating and connecting.
There is no doubt that this all shows in the way he serves the Spanish Wells community with heart, dedication, warm hospitality, and passion for what he does. The club is grateful to have such a fantastic chef serving up delicious and memorable cuisine, and always with a smile.
